[Chu Wenshan has his peaceful stroll, and he has his nice new basin -- which is different from the fountain at the heart of the maze on the other side (that one is more elaborate, with a winding and clicking of hidden gears, and multiple basins that are square where this one is round). This one looks more like the basins at the base of the garden statues writ large.

There's a few dead leaves in it. A sprig of thorn. Nary a drop of water to be found.

Strange, isn't it, considering how much rain they've had over the past week? It should be full. It should be full to overflowing.
