[There's a confused grumble as the hatchet goes whizzing away into the hedge, the man whirling around halfway to try and find the source of the noise and movement -- he even tries momentarily to fight the hedge next to him, but apparently three people take precedence over the environment.

So a moment later he's back to focusing on them, though it gives Andrew time to get up close and lock her poker against the pennant -- it throws the man off balance slightly (7) so that Shiv doesn't get a follow-up attack to her gaffe. The fire poker part also vanishes into the hedges.
